Rose Hastings (also Huff and Maiden Name Lacey). She was a daughter, wife, mother (and a dad), grandmother, and an aunt. She had a lot of titles, and she was great at all of them. She was loving, caring, strong, resilient, brave, hopeful, protective, persistent, nosy, outgoing, charismatic, the clearance aisle queen, and more… She was always in good spirits; well, of course she had her moments and bad days, but never let that stop her from being who she was. She was the type of person who always knew what we needed or knew where to get it if she didn’t have it. She was always there when you needed her. She put everyone first before herself always, even when her health said different. She went through a lot in her life, and a big challenge was her eight kids. She fought like hell and did whatever it took to get us back and gave us the life of knowing her. We know it wasn’t easy, and we definitely didn’t make it any easier. But she still never gave up and did everything she could for us. She was the life of the party. We will never forget how her dance moves got everyone laughing and dancing too. Things she loved to do, other than throwing parties, were taking care of her plants, cooking for everyone (her kids, grandkids, family, friends, etc.), mainly breakfast, being around family, getting up and going to work because she loved her job and customers, shopping, especially in the clearance aisle, and playing her games and pretending she didn’t know she was using everyone else’s cards to pay for them. She always took everyone in no matter what; she forgave easily; she loved everyone and made sure to show it. She taught us that love isn’t in big gestures but in small everyday kindness. Your laughter will echo in our hearts, and your lessons and wisdom will flow through everything we do. We will miss you deeply, but know that your spirit will always lead the way, and you’ll continue to take care of us. We will carry you in our hearts every day. We love you, momma! Always and Forever!
