Tribute
It’s hard to put into words the loss of our dad, who passed away in September of 2025. For as long as we can remember, he was the heart and soul of every room he entered. From childhood through every stage of our lives, Dad made sure we knew what it meant to be loved, to be strong, and to give to others. Dad had two big careers that shaped who he was: his time with the Boy Scouts and his role at the United States Post Office. But those careers were just part of his story. He was a true leader—president of the union, president of the HOA, and probably countless other things we don’t even know about. He was always organizing, helping, and making sure everyone around him was cared for. His love for his family, friends, and colleagues had no limits. He was a social butterfly, the life of every party, and no one could light up a room like Dad. Whether he was jitterbugging across the dance floor or cracking jokes, he made sure everyone was having a good time. His smile was infectious, his energy unmatched, and his playful spirit made him impossible not to love. And while he loved to tease, we all knew his heart always belonged to Barb. Dad had so many passions. He loved researching our family genealogy, always digging deeper into where we came from. He was an artist at heart, creating personalized chess sets that reflected his creativity and uniqueness. And food—oh, food was one of his greatest joys. For him, it was never just about eating; it was about bringing people together, making memories, and showing love in every bite. As his children, we couldn’t have asked for a better role model, a better protector, or a better friend. We are forever grateful for the life he gave us and the lessons he taught us—lessons we will carry with us always. We look forward to the day we gather to celebrate him—a room full of people who knew just how special he was, filled with love, laughter, great food, and maybe even a little dancing in his honor. We love you, Dad. You will always be in our hearts, and we’re so grateful for every moment we shared with you.
