Susan Bujniewicz
Tribute
Susan Jeanne Bujniewicz, loving mother, wife, and grandmother passed away on November 19, 2023, in Lititz, PA after fighting a long-time battle with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, a liver disease that inflames and scars the liver ducts. She was the daughter of the late Lillian Frances (Knisely) Kensinger and Glenn Albert Kensinger of Coatesville, PA. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Francis "Frenchy" Bujniewicz, and her three children: Christina Lynn Brunn, wife of Joseph Brunn of Fairfax, VA; Joseph John Krchnar, Jr., husband of Lori Krchnar of Akron PA; and Todd Glenn Krchnar, of Lititz, PA. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Jessa and Jaden Krchnar of Akron, PA; and Emmalynne Krchnar of New Holland, PA. Susan was born November 9, 1946, and was raised in Coatesville, PA. She graduated from Coatesville High School in 1964 and began working for the Coatesville Veterans Hospital as a medical secretary, a profession she continued later in life as well. In 1967 she married her first husband, Joseph John Krchnar of West Chester (deceased July 2007). They lived and raised their three children in Chester and Lancaster counties and were married for 22 years. Susan loved her 3 children. She could be found at just about every event that they participated in. Ironically, football was probably her favorite to watch even though none of the kids played football (they were in the band and/or cheering on the track!) She became quite the fan of both the Manheim Central Barons and Penn State Nittany Lions football teams. Susan was an avid crafter; She enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, quilting, rug hooking, wheat weaving, drawing and painting, working with stained glass... and just about anything else she could get her hands on! She also loved flowers and plants and maintained many varieties both indoors and out. Her favorites included African violets, ferns, and of course, daisies. Susan met and married Frenchy Bujniewicz in 1994. They loved gardening, going to the beach, and visiting Williamsburg and Longwood Gardens together. Susan and Frenchy resided in Virginia and South Carolina before returning to Lancaster County to be near Susan's family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Susan's Celebration of Life service to be announced at a later time. "Our lives are better left to chance. I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance." Garth Brooks, "The Dance"
