After a rapidly deteriorating, hard-fought battle, my mother, Susan Kay Standish, went to go be with the Lord Jesus Christ on September 5th 2026, at 9:14 a.m. As an immeasurably selfless and altruistic woman, she willingly gave everything she had to jer loved ones without thinking twice about so doing. Among the greatest honors in my entire life were taking care of her at home while I was able to, and helping her come to develop a deep and personal trust and faith in Christ. This world wasn't always good to my mother, and frankly, I believe that she was too good for this world. However, I am not sad for her, as her suffering and her trials are over, and she is in the eternal paradise that this plane of existence could never grant her. I love and admire you eternally, Mom, and when the time is right, I know we will be together again. Rest in peace. Amen.
