Susan C. Weber lived a life marked by love, kindness, and a heart for serving others. Whether at home, at church, or in the community, she found joy in caring for people and pointing them to the love of Jesus. As a devoted wife and mother, she shared life with her husband, Ken, and together they raised their sons, Kevin and Kraig. Her love extended to the rest of her family as well - her daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, nieces and nephews, and other extended family. She regularly made trips to see her sister, grandkids, and other loved ones, and shared pictures and updates from their lives with her friends. Susan’s love for children was evident to everyone who knew her. She wanted every child to know the Good News of Jesus and spent many years faithfully serving in Children’s Ministry. On Sunday mornings and for a while even on Saturday evenings, she welcomed families, cared for little ones with patience and joy, and encouraged and mentored teenage volunteers. For more than a decade, she also served with Good News Clubs in local schools, eventually leading a team. Some of her favorite moments were sitting beside children who wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior or simply needed someone to listen, pray, and care. Her teammates remember the calm, gentle confidence she brought to every interaction and the genuine love she showed each child. At her church, Susan faithfully served wherever she was needed. She was involved in small groups, committees, and the deaconess team, which she led for several years. She helped organize events, assisted with baptisms, and lovingly prepared receptions for families gathering to remember loved ones. Those who served alongside her remember her as fair, dependable, approachable, and gracious - a steady presence whose servant’s heart made others feel cared for and supported. Susan’s compassion reached far beyond the walls of the church. Alongside a group of Christian friends, she faithfully served meals each month at a local senior living community, always taking time to share a smile and conversation with the residents. She volunteered each year with Feed the Harbor, helped shop for Pregnancy Solutions, served at WinShape summer camp, and in general was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever a need arose. Whether a friend, a neighbor, her church, or her community called, Susan faithfully answered. More than anything, Susan loved Jesus. Her faith wasn’t simply something she believed - it was the way she lived. She cared deeply that others would come to know His love and experience the hope she had found in Him. Through countless acts of kindness, words of encouragement, and years of faithful service, she left a lasting impact on the lives of many.
