Thomas Mekara was a truly exceptional man, a loving husband and father who embraced his stepchildren as his own, ensuring they always had a home and never wanted for anything. His boundless love extended to his grandchildren, for whom he always did what was needed without question. A passionate animal lover, especially of Pomeranians, he selflessly funded the rescue and rehabilitation of over 500 dogs, finding them loving homes. A proud US Navy veteran, his ultimate sacrifice to medical science, in hopes of saving others, exemplifies his incredible generosity.
