Thomas lived life with love, laughter, curiosity, and a wonderfully free spirit. He was funny, goofy, adventurous, and endlessly fascinated by the world around him. He loved making people laugh and bringing joy to those around him. He loved his family and friends deeply and had a way of making people feel cared for. He devoted so much of his life to helping others and rescuing animals of all kinds. Whether he was picking up a snake along the road or bringing home an alligator, squirrel, or another creature that needed his attention, his love for animals — and his sense of adventure — never seemed to have limits. Even at work, he had his own little group of ducks that would come greet him every morning and follow him everywhere he went. Among all the animals he loved, Zeppelin held an especially big place in his heart. Dad was the one who rescued him, and the two became best buddies, spending countless hours together, especially fishing side by side. He loved fishing, music, and movies, but one of his greatest joys was cooking and baking for the people he loved. He was always happiest making something for his family, and feeding the people around him was one of the ways he showed his love. A proud Marine and a devoted father who would do absolutely anything for his kids, Thomas was also a loyal friend to so many. He left an imprint on the lives of both people and animals that will never be forgotten. We miss him dearly every day. He was a light in our lives. We will love him and miss him forever.
