Virginia Bouche Dickson High (“Jinny”) was born May 10, 1926, Berry, KY, and raised in Cincinnati, OH by her parents, Bob and Martha Burgess Dickson along with her brother, William Dickson. Jinny passed away peacefully at the age of 99 on November 24, 2025 in McKinney, Texas surrounded by family, and following brief chaplain-led Christian service. Jinny has generously donated her body for medical research to Science Care of Texas, accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). Jinny was a proud member, DAR - the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jinny studied Early Childhood Education at Miami University, Oxford, OH. She was a member, Delta Gamma Sorority where she was active in the Dallas, Texas and Granville, Ohio alumnae groups. She married Alan V. High on August 22, 1946. Following Alan's Post WWII discharge as a Navy aviator/navigator (V-5 program) they moved to Lawrence, KS so that Alan could study and graduate in Business Engineering, University of Kansas. He worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass, Director R&D, Process Manufacturing, and Ferro Corporation. Together they traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally. Jinny was a teacher in Aiken, SC, but she was best known for her nursery school in the 1960’s- early 1970’s in Granville, OH. Denison University education-major interns did their student teaching at her pre-school. Raising happy children and grandchildren was Jinny's top priority. Traveling the world was her joy. Her grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and students benefitted from her spunk, love, sunny outlook, and wisdom. When her beloved Alan died in 2008, Jinny continued her independent life, traveling, enjoying family and friends, and driving until age 95. Many corporate moves and life events took Alan and Jinny and the family to live In Prairie Village, KS, Huntingdon, PA, Seaford L.I., NY, East Brunswick, NJ, Aiken, SC, Granville, OH, Newark, OH, Cleveland, OH, Nashville, TN, Saudi Arabia, Austin, TX, Garland, TX, Plano, TX, and McKinney, TX where she faithfully attended her Episcopal churches. "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." - John 14: 2-3

Jinny is survived: By her children: William Alan High (Ronni), Tricia High Conover, Lynn High Pratt, and Robert Dickson High. By her grandchildren: Steven Garrett Conover, Jr, Andrew Alan Conover (Alisha), and Courtney Marie Pratt. By her great-granddaughter: Jeanne Hélène Conover. By the fathers/mother of her grand and great grands: Steven Garrett Conover, Sr., Bruce L. Pratt, Anne-Sophie Blin Conover.
